I began taking Restorative Yoga classes with Cindy Miller 10 months ago. I had been having health issues and had not been able to exercise in a few months. Cindy gently helped me grow more flexible week after week. I took a few private sessions and she put together a program for me to do at home. I have advanced to gentle yoga. My depression has lifted, my body feels far more flexible and I have grown more peaceful and accepting of life’s ups and downs. Cindy’s style of teaching offers serenity, light heartedness and peace, while asking each student to move their practice forward at their comfort level. I have taken many yoga classes over the years, and Cindy Miller is one of my all time favorites! Her calm spirit reassures you as she gently corrects your form and postures, all the while pushing you to be the best that you can be in that given moment. Cindy understands that every BODY is different, and depending how God has put us together, some poses need to be adjusted to fit YOU. For instance – my right leg is turned in from my hips, making it almost impossible for me to square my hips in Warrior 1. Cindy understood that there were physical limitations for me in this pose and adjusted the pose for me – teaching me the invaluable lesson of self acceptance. I have also taken Cindy’s Restorative Yoga classes which I find to be a deeply relaxing and revitalizing practice that encourages rest and resets the body, mind and spirit. Cindy creates a nurturing and supportive environment, where I can let go and rejuvenate. If you get the chance to practice with Cindy- take it! You will be glad you did. – Lisa L.
Cindy Miller has taught me how to appreciate and love the practice of yoga. I have been devoted to exercise and physical fitness for many years but my routine never included yoga. I had many reasons to not practice yoga: 1) I thought yoga was boring; 2) I thought yoga did not “count” as exercise; 3) I hated taking a class in a large gym with lots of people and an instructor who did not pay attention to me; 4) I could not tune out the rest of the world for an hour. Cindy has changed my mind about all that! Thanks to her passion and talent for yoga, her obvious care for her clients, and the atmosphere of a private study, Cindy has changed my workout routine and my life!
